Position: Finance & Accounting Consultant
Location: Denpasar, Bali
Reports to: Operations Lead
Period: July-December 2025
The Finance & Accounting Consultant will provide essential financial expertise and support to the
organization to ensure smooth financial operations, accurate reporting, and compliance with policies,
including tax compliance. This role will support budgeting processes, expenditure monitoring, and assist in organization fund management. The Consultant will work collaboratively with internal teams to address specific financial needs, ensuring efficient fund utilization and alignment with the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
1. Budget Planning and Execution Support
- Assist in the development and review of budgeting processes, collaborating with
managers/leads to align expenditures with existing priorities. - Monitor budgetary compliance and assist in reporting variances, recommending necessary
adjustments. - Help in preparing financial forecasts and cash flow analyses as required by the project.
2. Ad-hoc Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly or quarterly
reports as needed. - Conduct basic financial analysis to identify trends or issues relevant to the organization’s
objectives. - Ensure all financial reporting complies with donor requirements, internal policies, and
relevant regulations.
3. Grant Management and Compliance Assistance
- Assist in aspects of grant budgeting, expenditure tracking, and reporting to ensure
compliance with donor requirements. - Support regular communication with donors regarding necessary financial reporting.
- Provide input for optimizing grant management tools and systems if required.
4. Internal Control and Tax Compliance
- Assist in the maintenance of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate
financial reporting. - Support the preparation of necessary documentation for internal or external audits.
- Help in reviewing existing financial policies and procedures to identify areas for
improvement. - Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations in Indonesia, including the calculation,
reporting, and payment of relevant taxes (e.g., Income Tax, VAT, etc.) within the project
scope. - Assist in coordination with external tax consultants if required for complex issues.
5. Financial Transaction Management
- Assist in payroll processes and ensure basic compliance with labor regulations and payroll-
related tax aspects. - Review expense reports, ensuring adherence to budget and financial policies.
- Help manage vendor relationships concerning payments and procurement procedures,
considering tax implications on vendor transactions.
6. Knowledge Transfer and Technical Support
- Provide basic guidance or training to internal staff on financial policies and compliance,
including relevant tax fundamentals. - Collaborate with program teams to ensure understanding of expenditures and budget
adherence. - Contribute to a culture of accountability and integrity within the finance function.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in financial management, ideally in the non-profit
sector or roles requiring rapid adaptation, with a strong understanding of Indonesian tax
regulations. - Solid financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, and grant management skills, with adaptability
to various financial software. Familiarity with Indonesian tax laws and systems is highly preferred. - Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.), Tax applications, financial
applications especially QuickBooks. - Proficient in English and Indonesian languages.
