MDPI Supply Chain Department: Coordination Meeting in Bali
I’d like to introduce myself, I am Hastuti and have just started at MDPI as the new Traceability Implementer for the Ambon based site. Together I and Nur Davina Liem ( or Ona for short), the North Buru Traceability Tagger, attended our first coordination meeting regarding the implementation of IFITT (Improving Fisheries Information and Traceability for Tuna) in Bali this August. The meeting was held for two days from 10 – 11 August in the MDPI office. Also attending was Lalu Hizbullah, the Traceability Coordinator and Stephani Simangunsong, the Supply Chain Manager.
The purpose of this meeting was to coordinate the implementation of IFITT in the supply chain and to develop implementation plans for the coming months. We discussed technical matters related to the implementation of traceability and the challenges that we encountered in the field and the things we need to fix in the future. We also got background information about the other MDPI Programs, Traceability, IFITT, and the administration system.
One of the important things for me was the chance to meet the MDPI staff from the other departments in the Bali office. It was so nice to get to know the awesome team of MDPI and to realize that they are very welcoming to new staff. After completing the meeting we are now back to the field full of energy and inspiration and ready to implement the knowledge we have learnt from the coordination meeting and training.
